FCUSA MA is excited to announce a brand new, strategic partnership with FC United, from Worcester County. This partnership will start with immediate effect and allow all FC United teams to play as FCUSA United, in the NEP, starting this fall.

FCUSA MA President Paul Turner has been in extensive discussions with Gerald Padilla, founder and President of FC United and both agreed the partnership will help both entities moving forward. ‘ Gerry and I have competed against each other for many years. I was always impressed by the message he passed on to his players and the positive message throughout our encounters. ’ Like FCUSA MA, FC United prides itself on being a club with a strong “family identity “.

The partnership will also allow close collaboration with all aspects of running a club. FCUSA MA will help FC United strengthen ties within the local youth soccer community, involve FC United coaches in all aspects of Coach development as well as assist in on-field training for all FC United players’ and teams’. This will also provide a great pathway to the most competitive players within the club, with participation on FCUSA MA Elite Regional and Tournament teams.

“I am really looking forward to working alongside Gerry and his staff and think we can all create a really strong program, in the Worcester County area. Gerry and I will meet next week to discuss how we can create something that all involved can be truly proud of. Gerry has done a tremendous job with FC United. My job is to help him and his staff take the club to another level”, suggested FCUSA MA Technical Director Rob Jones.

Gerry Padilla states, "For the past few years FC United has been approached by both large and small clubs searching for partnerships in the Worcester County area. I have not found the right match until now. After having many discussions with Paul and FC USA, I found that our philosophies of Player Development and Commitment to Families were identical. I strongly believe the partnership between FC United and FC USA will provide the Worcester County area with the best soccer opportunities for our players. I look forward to working closely with Paul and his staff."
